Volunteer Leader & Land Stewardship (VLLS) Workshop 2008
Ghost Mountain Ranch, Pollock Pines, CA
18 students graduated on Nov. 16, 2008, from VLLS #4, hosted by the Rubicon Trail Foundation (RTF), and sponsored by RTF in partnership with the BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC), Calif. Off Road Vehicle Assocation (CORVA), 4x4Wire.com, Jeepers Jamboree, Dan Dewolf, Calif. Assoc. of 4WD Clubs Foundation, and Marlin Crawler.
These marvelous sponsors are helping to train inspired new leaders in OHV recreation who will help us keep our sports alive and well. Because of these sponsors, all students get to attend for free (food, lodging, course cost, etc. is all covered). It is businesses and groups like these that will help us keep our access into the future. Be sure to say thank you, and to buy from businesses like these who support our access issues. Also, I suggest you join organizations that are proactive in helping more folks get involved in saving our trails, riding areas, and sports.
It was an amazing group of students who spent three days in this land use and access boot camp (with plenty of fun activities and learning experiences). I am greatful to the Rubicon Trail Foundation (and all the sponsors) for supporting this class and giving me the opportunity pass on some tips and tricks for leading volunteers to victory to my fifth class of OHV leaders.
